Lottery games are meant to be a fun form of entertainment and we are determined to help our players keep it that way by stressing the importance of playing responsibly!As a member of the National Council on Problem Gambling, the Louisiana Lottery takes this effort seriously by distributing problem gambling awareness brochures in all of its retailer play centers; printing the problem gambling helpline number on all tickets, advertisements, news releases and sales materials; and encouraging players to adhere to responsible play techniques throughout the year.In addition, the first $500,000 in Lottery proceeds each year goes to the Problem and Compulsive Gambling dedicated state fund that is managed through the Louisiana Department of Health-Office of Behavioral Health. Louisiana residents who are at least 21 years of age are invited to enter the Lottery's Reason to Smile Facebook timeline promotion for a chance to win one of 10 Celebrate Lottery Week prize packages.How to Enter:
Beginning Friday, July 19, eligible participants are invited to post the name of their favorite Louisiana Lottery game and why as a comment to the Lottery's designated Facebook post by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 for a chance to win a prize package. Prize packages will include a Lottery branded T-shirt, stadium cup, mascot sports bottle, duffle bag, wireless phone charger, and a koozie plus $15 worth of scratch-offs.
No entries will be accepted in person, by mail or through any other method. Only one entry per person is allowed. No purchase is necessary to submit an entry for the promotion. Winners will be randomly selected from the field of entries.Inappropriate or offensive comments or photos will be deleted and not considered as entries.Prizes:
