The Baton Rouge Business Report named Louisiana Lottery President Rose Hudson one of the 2007 Influential Women in Business.  She was one of seven women honored at the publication's 10th annual luncheon held June 14 at the Baton Rouge Marriott to recognize the success and achievements of professional women and businesswomen in the Capital Region.  In addition to being an honoree at the luncheon, Hudson was profiled in the June 5 issue of the Business Report.

"My position as Lottery President is one of the best places I could be at this point in my life," Hudson said in the article.  "I still today am mentored.  And there are people who probably don't recognize they're mentors to me."

Hudson is part of the growth and expansion of women business leaders in Baton Rouge and across the country.  According to the article, women own more that 10.6 million businesses in the United States and 5.7 percent of all adult women are entrepreneurs.

"My biggest lesson is my obligation that the next generation of businesswomen has a wider path and more opportunities," said Hudson.
