Larry Reeves said he chose to play the Louisiana Lottery's MONOPOLY scratch-off after seeing a television commercial in which a bell rings in MR. MONOPOLY's office every time there is a new prize winner; this time, the bell rang for Reeves.

"I saw two numbers on the ticket match and thought I'd at least won another ticket," Reeves said when he visited Lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge to collect his winnings. He said when he scratched below the number, it revealed a $100,000 prize.

Reeves purchased his winning ticket at Circle K #8062 in Baton Rouge. He was the second player in a week to win a $100,000 top prize on the MONOPOLY scratch-off game, which launched in February. Three top prizes still remain.

Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. Scratch-off prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the announced closure of the game. Scratch-off games are closed when all of the top prizes in a game have been claimed, when all of the tickets in a game have been substantially sold or at the discretion of the Lottery's president.

For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing. Anyone who may have a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem should call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
