Evelyn McElroy of Houma claimed a $10,000 Powerball ticket on behalf of herself, two of her friends and their husbands.

The ticket matched four the five white balls numbers and the red Powerball number drawn from the May 20 drawing.

The ladies said they plan to give some of the winnings to charity. The ticket was purchased at Cajun Magic Truck Stop on East Main Street in Houma.
