Party Pointers Facebook Promotion

 

 

Louisiana residents who are at least 21 years of age are invited to share their best holiday party tips for a chance to win a Holiday Party Prize Package including each of the Lottery’s 2014 holiday scratch-offs and more.

 

Entries will be accepted only through the Lottery’s designated application on Facebook on the following dates: Dec. 1-7, 2014. Five winners will be selected by Lottery personnel based on the originality and creativity of their tips, and their stories will be shared by the Lottery on its Facebook page in the days leading up to Christmas.

 

 

Beginning Monday, Dec. 1, eligible participants can submit their holiday party tips electronically through the Lottery’s designated application on Facebook. To be considered, entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. 

 

Participation requires the user to accept the application terms via a third-party app on Facebook. No entries will be accepted on the Lottery’s Facebook Timeline, by private Facebook message, in person, by mail or through any other method. Only one entry per person is allowed. 

 

No purchase is necessary to submit an entry for the promotion.

 

 

One or more representatives of the Louisiana Lottery will judge eligible entries and select five winners they feel demonstrate the most creativity and originality with their holiday party tips.  

 

 

The apparent winners will be notified via the email address and/or phone number provided with their entries on Monday, Dec. 8. Winners have two business days after any form of attempted communication by the Lottery to verify their eligibility status or their prize will be forfeited; the Lottery may, at its discretion, assign an alternate winner in those cases. Once confirmed, winners will be announced on the Lottery’s Facebook page.

 

 

The Louisiana Lottery’s Party Pointers promotion is open to Louisiana residents at least 21 years of age. Residency and age will be verified prior to announcing winners.  The following individuals are excluded from participating in Louisiana Lottery Facebook promotions:

 

• Any member of the Board of Directors, officer or employee of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation.

• Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing in the same household of any Louisiana Lottery employee, officer or member of the Board of Directors.

• Any employee of any company or vendor awarded a contract or subcontract to conduct business with, assigned to perform services for or provide goods to the Louisiana Lottery for any duration in the 2014 calendar year. This includes but is not limited to advertising agencies, gaming system vendors, printers, auditors, promotional product suppliers, etc.

• Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing in the same household of any company or vendor awarded a contract or subcontract to conduct business with, assigned to perform services for or provide goods to the Louisiana Lottery for any duration in the 2014 calendar year.

 

Any person who falls into one of the categories listed above or who does not meet the age and residency requirements will be deemed ineligible to participate.

 

 

Five winners will each receive a Holiday Party Prize Package including: one (1) $200,000 Spectacular  scratch-off, one (1)  Holiday$100,000 Party scratch-off, one (1) Peppermint Doubler scratch-off, four (4) Happy Holidays! scratch-offs, one (1) branded pot-holder, one (1) 2015 magnetic calendar, one (1) branded apron, one (1) holiday coffee tumbler, one (1) Lottery koozie and one (1) Lottery drawstring backpack. 

 

The prize has no cash value and is nontransferable.  In the unlikely event the Lottery is unable to fulfill a stated prize due to circumstances beyond its control, a prize(s) of equal or greater value will be substituted at the Lottery's sole discretion.

 

 

All contest entrants agree to comply with these rules and accept the Lottery’s interpretation of them in executing the contest.

 

If a dispute arises over the identity of a participant who submitted an entry, the authorized account holder of the email account associated with the entry will be deemed the participant.

 

In addition, entrants agree to participate in the Lottery’s publicity efforts in conjunction with this contest, including but not limited to photo publication, press releases, interviews and media coverage. 

 

Entrants also acknowledge that in matters of administering the contest, the decisions of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation are binding and final.

 

 

The Louisiana Lottery is solely responsible for conducting and administering this contest. The Louisiana Lottery shall have no responsibility or liability for any actual or claimed harm that may arise due to promotional materials or prizes. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Facebook or the Louisiana Lottery Corporation and its promotional partners.

 

The Louisiana Lottery is not responsible or liable for any error, omission or any technical problem related to its Facebook promotions, including but not limited to entries and submissions, website problems, applications problems, Internet problems or problems with a participant's computer. If for some reason a promotion is not capable of running as originally planned, the Lottery has the right to modify, suspend or cancel all or any portion of the promotion's rules.

 

Facebook and its affiliates, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in its promotions or the prizes awarded. Facebook has not offered or sponsored Lottery promotions in any way.
