While passing through Lake Charles, Jewel decided to purchase a Powerball ticket for the Feb. 1 drawing. That decision won her $10,000!

Jewel's ticket matched four of six numbers plus the Powerball number to win her prize. She purchased her ticket from First Stop #3 on Highway 171 North in Lake Charles.
