| Barrient, who works as a clerk at Bellina's Grocery Store in Donaldsonville, claimed the winning ticket on behalf of herself; Michel Bellina, the store owner; and Walter "Shorty" Sanchez, a good friend.
Barrient's ticket matched five of the six Lotto numbers drawn that night to win their prize. "It feels great to win! It's very exciting," she said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Bellina's Grocery Store on St. Patrick Street in Donaldsonville.
"We encourage all our customers to play the Lottery. I hope we can win again!" said Bellina, who's been a retailer since the Lottery began in 1991. |
