Roberts purchased his winning ticket at Save A Dollar Food Store on Claire Avenue in Gretna.
He played two sets of numbers. He played the first set as a "straight" set, meaning that his numbers had to match the numbers drawn in exact order to win $5,000. He played the second set of numbers as a "box" set, meaning his numbers could match the numbers drawn in any order to win $200, totaling $5,200.
