
Louisiana Lottery’s Hoops in the Hive Promotion Rules
Contest Description:
From February 15-20, 2013, Louisiana residents who are at least 21 years of age are invited to submit one entry per social media platform for the Louisiana Lottery’s Hoops in the Hive promotion for a chance to win a Lottery prize package including a set of six complimentary tickets to the New Orleans Hornets vs. Detroit Pistons game on March 1.
This promotion involves Facebook, Twitter and Club Lotteaux, with two winners per platform. Participants can enter only once per platform and can only win one prize package during the promotional period. Entries will be accepted through the Lottery’s official “Louisiana Lottery Contest Promotions” application on Facebook, via online registration form for Club Lotteaux members and by retweeting specific messages on Twitter.
From all the entries submitted for each platform, a total of two winners will be randomly selected, for a total of six promotion winners , who will each receive one Lottery prize package including a set of six complimentary tickets to the March 1 Hornet’s home game at the New Orleans Arena.
How to Enter:
Eligible participants can submit one entry per social media platform during the Louisiana Lottery’s Hoops in the Hive promotion, which runs February 15-20, 2013.
No entries will be accepted in person or by mail. All promotion participants agree to comply with these rules and accept the Lottery’s interpretation of them in executing the contest.
Facebook
Entries must be submitted electronically through the Lottery’s “Louisiana Lottery Contest Promotions” application on Facebook by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Participation requires the user to “Like” the Louisiana Lottery on its Facebook page and to “accept” the Lottery’s official “Louisiana Lottery Contest Promotions” application.
All required information on the contest entry form must be completed in full, and entries may not be changed or altered once submitted. Incomplete or inappropriate entries will be disqualified at the Lottery’s sole discretion.
Twitter
Beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, eligible participants are invited to “retweet” specified Lottery Twitter posts for a chance to win. Participants may enter only once. Entrants must be followers of the Louisiana Lottery (@LALottery). In addition, their entry must contain the #HoopsintheHive hashtag and must be received by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Club Lotteaux
Eligible participants are invited to log into their Club Lotteaux account to complete a contest registration form by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 for a chance to win. Participants may only enter once. Club Lotteaux membership is free and is required to participate.
Judging:
Two winning entries will be randomly selected by Lottery personnel from the field of entries for each of the three platforms with six winners in total.
Winner Notification:
Winners will be selected and notified (via the email address and phone number provided with their entry) on Thursday, Feb. 21. Winners have two business days after any form of attempted communication by the Lottery to verify their eligibility status or their prize will be forfeited; the Lottery may, at its discretion, assign an alternate winner in those cases. Once confirmed, winners will be announced on the Lottery’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
Prizes:
Six winners will each receive a Lottery prize package including six tickets to the New Orleans Hornets vs. Detroit Pistons game March 1 at 7 p.m. at the New Orleans Arena.
Terms and Conditions:
Entries are subject to the terms and conditions accepted by the entrants when installing the Lottery’s “Louisiana Lottery Contest Promotions” application on Facebook, or when signing up for Club Lotteaux. All entrants must be at least 21 years of age and residents of Louisiana.
Hoops in the Hive winners and their guests are responsible for all other costs, including transportation to the basketball game, lodging, or food or beverage they may require to participate.
Promotion winners and their guests agree to participate in the Lottery’s publicity efforts in conjunction with this promotion, including but not limited to photo publication, press releases, interviews and media coverage. They further agree to comply with all rules and restrictions printed on the ticket media.
The prize has no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold. The Lottery reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value in the event that any portion of prize is unable to be fulfilled. No purchase is necessary to submit an entry for the contest.
