Win a pair of tickets to ride in a Mardi Gras parade!

Register now for a chance to win a pair of tickets to ride on a superfloat in the 2011 Krewe of Thor Mardi Gras Parade, which rolls down the traditional route on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. in Metairie.  The Louisiana Lottery's Parade Ride Giveaway includes a ride on the float for the winner and a guest, plus costumes and throws for the parade.  Entrants and parade riders must be at least 21 years old.
 
Two sets of tickets will be given away, and there are two ways to win!  Here's how:

Club Lotteaux
Members of the Lottery's free online players club, Club Lotteaux, can register for a chance to win a pair of parade-ride tickets from Jan. 18 through Feb. 11.  Simply go online and login to your Club Lotteaux account to complete a registration form by midnight Friday, Feb. 11.  You only need to register once.  A random winner will be drawn from all entries on Feb. 14.

Facebook
Lottery Facebook fans can win a pair of parade-ride tickets by sharing their favorite Mardi Gras traditions and photos from Jan. 18 through Feb. 11.  Fans should e-mail a description of their favorite Mardi Gras tradition as well as a photo to facebook@louisianalottery.com.  By doing so, fans will be entered into a random drawing where one person will be selected to win the pair of tickets.

Photos should be tasteful.  Inappropriate photos will not be accepted.  By entering the contest, you give the Lottery permission to post your photo and tradition on the Lottery's Facebook page to share with other fans.

You may enter both drawings; however, you may win only one set of parade-ride tickets.

Hurry!  Entry into both promotions ends at midnight Friday, Feb. 11!

2011 Parade Ride Giveaway Promotion Rules:
Promotion participants must be at least 21 years of age and able to participate in riding a superfloat in the 2011 Krewe of Thor parade, on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. in Metairie. The giveaway includes a ride on the float for the winner and one guest (age 21 or older), as well as costumes and throws for the parade. Winners are responsible for ALL other costs, including transportation to the parade, lodging or food or beverage that they may require to participate. Riders will be required to sign releases of liability prior to participating in the parade ride. The Parade Ride Giveaway prize has no cash value and is nontransferable. The Club Lotteaux promotion winner will be notified by the phone number provided and Club Lotteaux account e-mail address and the Facebook promotion winner be notified via direct message after the drawings on Feb. 14. Winners will be given 48 hours to confirm their intent to participate, after which time the Lottery may select and notify an alternate winner. An alternate winner may also be selected if the winner is unable to participate for any reason.
