Thanks to the 125 Club Lotteaux members who shared their creativity with us by participating in the "Name the Deer" promotion! Our four winning entries will be revealed this week, beginning with Deer "A."



"Beauregard" - Jane B. of Vidalia

Beauregard is a quiet, reserved sage reindeer who dearly enjoys a good book and a cup of hot cocoa on a cold evening.

To the young bucks and does, he is a very cherished elder, a wise grandfather. But unbeknown to others, Beauregard lives a double-life as one of Santa Claus' most loyal reindeer and confidants. Every December 24th, Beauregard magically transforms into a young, vivacious buck again for Santa Claus' yearly trip.



"Lotti Deaux" - Shari R. of Thibodaux

Lotti Deaux is a highly cheerful reindeer!  She loves her hot cocoa, with a little bit of spirit in it. 

She is always telling jokes and making others laugh and smile.  Her favorite pastime is playing the Louisiana Lottery.  She loves playing the scratch-offs! Lotti Deaux is very lucky; she wins on her scratch-offs quite often! 

Lotti Deaux wants to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and she will be filling the stockings of her family and friends with scratch-offs again this year!



 

"Ceaux Ceaux" - Deborah E. of Destrehan

While sitting in the cool breeze with his scarf flying and day dreaming of winning the lottery, Ceaux Ceaux (pronounced CoCo) drinks hot chocolate (cocoa)! 

He is a fun-loving, comedian who loves to play reindeer games and drink hot cocoa - hence, his name!





"Downer" - Barry D. of Bunkie

Downer is a wonderful, fun-loving reindeer. Downer is one of Santa's favorites. He loves to bring cheer and joy to every girl and boy on Christmas with Santa and his reindeer buddies.

On the way back to the North Pole, Downer has a hard time thinking about anything else but getting back and having a big delicious mug of Mrs. Claus's special hot chocolate. Mrs. Claus always puts a little extra deer nip in Downer's chocolate. She loves to see how much he loves it when he turns up his big mug and downs it as fast as he can stand to drink the hot liquid - hence the name Downer -and holds the mug up to get every last drop.

Then Downer turns his thoughts to all the children that will be waking Christmas morning to the wonderful gifts that they had brought to them. The warmth he feels from this is as warming as Mrs. Claus's hot chocolate, and he hopes everyone has as warm a feeling when remembering the true meaning of Christmas.
