Third Lotto Jackpot in Less Than a Month Claimed by New Orleans Man

On July 1, the Lotto jackpot was hit for the third time in less than a month - this time by a New Orleans man, David Allen Laflore, who claimed his $275,000 prize at Lottery headquarters today.

Laflore received $191,294.43 after required withholdings. He purchased his winning ticket at Best Stop Express on Belle Chasse Highway in Gretna, which will receive a one-time bonus of $2,750, or 1 percent of the jackpot.
The winning numbers for the July 1 Lotto drawing were 5-6-12-19-28-39.  More than 10,000 other Lotto players also won prizes, including 17 players who won $1,757 each.

Laflore's win comes on the heels of two other Lotto jackpot wins. Most recently, Hope Craft of Call, Texas, claimed $250,000 from the June 24 drawing on behalf of a group of her coworkers. Also, Carlos Case of Brookhaven, Miss., won the $700,000 jackpot from the June 21 drawing.

The Lottery encourages anyone who may have a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll free 1-877-770-7867.
