| Benjamin Stringer claims a $100,000 top prize from a “$100,000 Cash” scratch-off at the Lottery’s Alexandria office. |
Only a little wind, ice and sleet kept father-to-be Benjamin Stringer of Trout from claiming a $100,000 top prize from the Lottery's $100,000 Cash scratch-off.
"It feels unbelievable to win," shared Stringer who had to wait a couple of days before claiming his prize due to weather conditions in his area.
"We're expecting our first child," explained Stringer, age 24. "So I plan to use some of the winnings for the baby."
Stringer purchased his winning scratch-off from Airport Grocery on Highway 8 in Jena. He shared that he also plans to use the money to build on a piece of land he recently purchased.
$100,000 Cash is a $5 game that features 15 chances to win on each ticket. The game has two $100,000 top prizes remaining as of today.
