Abbeville Man Claims $100,000 Top Prize from Extreme 13
Alex Rowley claims a $100,000 top prize from an “Extreme 13” scratch-off at the Lottery’s Lafayette office.
Alex Rowley of Abbeville was still shaking when he arrived at the Lottery's Lafayette office to claim a $100,000 top prize from an Extreme 13 scratch-off.
"This is so unbelievable," said Rowley, age 48. "I feel so incredibly lucky right now - I can't stop shaking."
Rowley explained that after winning $100 on Extreme 13 the previous week, he decided to buy four more tickets. "The second ticket I scratched was the big winner so I gave the rest to the cashier without even checking them," said Rowley.
Rowley explained that he plans to include the cashier when he shares his winnings with friends and family. He also plans to take an Alaskan cruise.
Rowley purchased his top-prize winning ticket from Valero Corner Store #615 on Veteran's Memorial Drive in Abbeville.
Extreme 13 is a $5 game that features the chance to win up to 15 times on each ticket. The game has two $100,000 top prizes remaining as of today.
