Ruston Woman Claims 5X Lucky Top Prize
|
| Lenetta Cheffin of Ruston claims a $15,000 top prize from a “5X Lucky” scratch-off at the Lottery’s Monroe office. |
When Lenetta Cheffin of Ruston purchased a 5X Lucky scratch-off ticket on a whim, the last thing she expected was to win a $15,000 top prize.
She could hardly believe her eyes when she scratched her 5X Lucky ticket and realized she was a top-prize winner. "No one would believe me that I won," explained Cheffin. "My boyfriend said he wouldn't believe it until I showed him the check."
Cheffin, who routinely plays Pick 3 and Pick 4, shared that the winning ticket was only the second scratch-off ticket she had ever purchased.
Cheffin, age 28, purchased her winning scratch-off from E-Z Mart #334 on West California Avenue in Ruston. She shared that she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.
5X Lucky is a $2 game that features 10 chances to win on each ticket. The game has two $15,000 top prizes remaining as of Sept. 10.
