"My wife and I were on our way to Florida to visit my mother who is ill," shared Young. "After my wife scratched the ticket, I was so shocked I had to pull over so I could check it myself." Young, age 60, explained that he chose Money Tree because he prefers to play the Lottery's $5 games. "I always play $5 games and this truly is a blessing," he said. Young purchased his top prize winning ticket at Kangaroo Express #3991 on Airport Drive in Slidell and plans to use his winnings to pay bills. According to Louisiana Lottery policy, a scratch-off game is closed and removed from sale when all top prizes for the game have been claimed. All top prizes from Money Tree have been claimed, and the game closed Feb. 18. The last day to redeem prizes from the game is June 19. Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket.
