Prairieville Man Gets A $12,000 Birthday "Gift"

Joseph Cambre of Prairieville got quite the birthday gift when he won a $12,000 top prize from the Lottery's new Gifts scratch-off.
"I decided on Gifts because the cashier told me it was a new game," said Cambre, age 24. "I scratched it and couldn't believe I won!"
Cambre said he plans to use his winnings to pay off his truck and fly to Tampa to celebrate his birthday with his family.
He purchased his winning scratch-off from Pecan Grove Chevron, Inc. on East Highway 30 in Gonzales.
Gifts is a $2 game that features 10 chances to win on each ticket. The game has four $12,000 top prizes remaining as of Nov. 16.
Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchasing.
