Ferriday Woman Gets More Than A Box of Gravy During A Recent Trip to the Grocery Store

A trip to the grocery store for a box of gravy became anything but ordinary for Monica Chatman of Ferriday when she won a $4,000 top prize from a Hot Dice scratch-off ticket!
A Lottery regular player, Chatman decided to use the change from her grocery purchase to buy the $1 ticket. She said it feels great to be a top prize winner and plans to use her winnings to ensure her children have a "beautiful Christmas." She purchased her winning ticket at Ferriday Superette on Louisiana Avenue in Ferriday.
Hot Dice is a $1 game that offers a chance to win up to four times on each ticket. The game has 13 $4,000 top prizes remaining as of Nov. 16.
Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchasing.
