Franklinton Woman Gets 5X The Money After Claiming Lottery Prize

Car trouble is one of those unavoidable hassles in life Willie Jean Roberts of Franklinton may not have to worry about for a while now that she's claimed a $100,000 top prize from a 5X The Money scratch-off from the Louisiana Lottery.
"My car stopped three times on the way home after I bought my scratch-off tickets," said Roberts, age 74. "When I finally made it home, I scratched my winning ticket!"
Roberts said she isn't sure what she'll do with her winnings, except buy a new car.
She purchased her winning scratch-off from Franklinton Self Serve on Washington Street in Franklinton.
5X The Money is a $5 game that offers a chance to win up to 15 times on each ticket. The game has three $100,000 top prizes remaining as of May 19.
Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchasing.
