Bogalusa Resident Claims $10,000 Powerball Prize from the Oct. 15 Drawing

Claude Lively II, of Bogalusa claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize from the Oct. 15 drawing at the Louisiana Lottery's New Orleans office.

A song was the only thing that could put Claude Lively II, to sleep after the Oct. 15 Powerball drawing when he realized he won a $10,000 prize.

"I couldn't sleep that night, so I kept singing to help calm my excitement," said Lively, age 52. "I'm still trying to wake up. I feel like this is a dream."

Lively's ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball number to win his prize.

He said he plans to save his winnings. He purchased his ticket from Sunset Chevron on Sunset Drive in Bogalusa.
 
The winning Powerball numbers for the Oct. 15 drawing were 03-13-32-38-48 and the Powerball number was 13.

Persons must be at least 21 to purchase a Lottery ticket. Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for assistance.
