Sterlington Resident Claims $10,000 Powerball Prize from Sept. 6 Drawing

Ronald Tatum of Sterlington claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize from the Sept. 6 drawing at the Louisiana Lottery's Monroe office.
"I got up the morning after the drawing and went to the store for a biscuit," said Tatum. "I got the winning numbers while I was there and saw that I won!"
Tatum purchased his winning ticket from Sterlington U Pak-It on Highway 2 in Sterlington.
The winning numbers for the Sept. 6 drawing were 17-25-26-49-54 and the Powerball number was 11. Tatum matched four of the five white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number to win his prize.
Persons must be at least 21 to purchase a Lottery ticket. Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for assistance.
