Westwego Resident Wins $200,000 Top Prize from Gold Rush Scratch-off
Keith Galmiche of Westwego claimed a $200,000 top prize from a Gold Rush scratch-off.
Westwego resident Keith Galmiche claimed a $200,000 top prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans Regional Office from a Gold Rush scratch-off ticket.
"I was so excited when I saw I won that my heart skipped a beat!" said Galmiche, who said he plans to purchase a new vehicle with his winnings.
Galmiche purchased his winning scratch-off from Wego Texaco on Westbank Expressway in Westwego.
Gold Rush is a $10 scratch-off game that offers players the chance to win up to 20 times on each ticket. With a total of more than $5.7 million in cash prizes, the game has three remaining top prizes as of July 15.
According to Louisiana Lottery policy, a scratch-off game is closed and removed from sale when all top prizes for the game have been claimed. Winners have 90 days from the game closure date in which to claim their winnings.
Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
