West Monroe Resident Claims $800,000 Powerball Prize Steven K. Tyler of West Monroe claimed an $800,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's headquarters as a result of a winning Powerball ticket from the Oct. 17 Powerball drawing.
Tyler's ticket matched all five of the white balls drawn that night to win his prize. When Tyler, age 54, purchased his winning ticket at Harde' Mart #122 on Forsythe Avenue in Monroe, he added the Power Play option to his ticket for an additional $1. When the Power Play number "4" was selected during the drawing, his winnings were multiplied by four, bringing his total prize to $800,000.
Harde' Mart #122 will receive a one-time bonus of $8,000 or one percent of the prize, for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers for the Oct. 17 Powerball drawing were 14-15-19-42-46 and the Powerball number was 37.
