Mitchell's winning ticket matched all five white ball numbers drawn but missed the red Powerball number. When Mitchell purchased his ticket at Kroger Store #539 on Youree Drive in Shreveport, he added the Power Play option to his ticket for an additional $1. When the Power Play number "3" was selected during the drawing, his winnings were multiplied by three, bringing his total prize to $600,000. Kroger Store #539 will receive a one-time bonus of $6,000, one percent of the prize, for selling Mitchell his winning ticket. The winning numbers for the August 25 Powerball drawing were 2-8-23-29-35 and the Powerball number was 19. More News |
