Addis Resident Claims $30,000 Top Prize From Scratch-Off Ticket

Daniel W. Echols of Addis, pictured with his friend, Johnnie Nickens, is holding a "big check" after claiming a $30,000 top prize from a "3-D Tic-Tac-Toe" scratch-off ticket.
Daniel W. Echols of Addis claimed a $30,000 top prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's headquarters from a 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe scratch-off ticket.

"I didn't believe that I had won at first," said Echols, age 28.  He said that he purchased his winning ticket at J W Food Mart on S. Vaughn (Highway 1) in Brusly on his way home from work. 

Players must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket.  The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867.
