Marrero Resident Claims $10,000 Powerball Prize

Harry Michael Connors of Marrero claimed a $10,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans office as a result of a winning Powerball ticket from the June 16 drawing.

Connors' ticket matched four white balls drawn plus the red Powerball to win his prize.

"I still can't believe it," said Connors, age 54. "If you don't play, you can't win!" He purchased his winning ticket at Ace Convenient Service on Barataria Boulevard in Marrero. The winning numbers for the June 16 Powerball drawing were 4-8-32-47-51 and the Powerball number was 27.

Players must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
