Lottery Honored With Two Awards from The Videographer Awards 2007 Competition

The Louisiana Lottery Corporation was honored with an Award of Excellence and an Award of Distinction in The Videographer Awards 2007 competition for two television commercials, according to Bonny Botts, LLC vice president for marketing and public relations.

The "Reason To Smile" music video/commercial featuring singer Kim Smith and Lottery employees received an Award of Excellence in the Corporate Image category.  This award is given to projects deemed exceptionally well written, produced, shot and edited.  The Lottery's fully animated commercial, "Holiday Scratch-offs," received an Award of Distinction in the TV/Creativity/Animation category.  This award is given to projects that exceed industry standards.

"All of the Lottery's commercials are created in-house by the marketing department," explained Botts.  "I'm very proud of our creative team for the many awards that the Lottery has received."

Approximately 2,000 projects were entered into The Videographer Awards 2007 competition by companies and individuals throughout the US and several foreign countries.  The judges select winners based on talent that serves as a benchmark for the industry.

The Videographer is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.  The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals who have entered AMCP programs.
