#LuckyWithLALottery Promotional Rules

Description:
Louisiana residents who are at least 21 years of age are invited to upload pictures of themselves to Twitter or Facebook during the 2014 ESSENCE Festival™ in New Orleans for a chance to win prizes from the Louisiana Lottery.

How to Enter:
Eligible participants can upload a picture of themselves at the festival with a Lottery ticket to their personal Twitter feed and/or Facebook profile.
 
Participation requires the user to visit the Lottery’s promotional booth, located in the Marketplace near the food vendors, between Friday, July 4 and Sunday, July 6 and purchase a scratch-off game or draw-style ticket to show in the picture. Lottery tickets are available to purchase between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entries must be submitted electronically through the participant’s personal Twitter feed and/or Facebook profile by 8 p.m., Sunday, July 6. No entries will be accepted in person, by mail or through any method.

Participants’ photos must appear in a public search for the hashtag #LuckyWithLALottery. 

The Lottery is solely responsible for administering the contest. All contest participants agree to comply with these rules and accept the Lottery’s interpretation of them in executing the contest. 

Winner Selection and Notification:
Up to ten apparent winners will be randomly selected from the eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by a Twitter or Facebook message from the Lottery on Monday, July 7. 

The apparent winners have two business days after any form of attempted communication by the Lottery to verify their eligibility status or their prizes will be forfeited; the Lottery may, at its discretion, assign an alternate winner in those cases.

Prizes:
Up to ten Louisiana Lottery prize packages will be awarded to eligible participants. Prize packages will include $5 worth of summertime scratch-offs, sunglasses, a car shade and stadium cup.

Eligibility:
The Louisiana Lottery’s promotion is open to Louisiana residents at least 21 years of age. Residency and age will be verified prior to announcing the winner. The following individuals are excluded from participating in Louisiana Lottery Facebook promotions:

  • Any member of the Board of Directors, officer or employee of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation.
  • Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing in the same household of any Louisiana Lottery employee, officer or member of the Board of Directors.
  • Any employee of any company or vendor awarded a contract or subcontract to conduct business with, assigned to perform services for or provide goods to the Louisiana Lottery for any duration in the 2014 calendar year. This includes but is not limited to advertising agencies, gaming system vendors, printers, auditors, promotional product suppliers, etc.
  • Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing in the same household of any company or vendor awarded a contract or subcontract to conduct business with, assigned to perform services for or provide goods to the Louisiana Lottery for any duration in the 2014 calendar year.

Any person who falls into one of the categories listed above or who does not meet the age and residency requirements will be deemed ineligible to participate.

Terms and Conditions:
Winners agree to allow the Lottery to use their names and images for promotional purposes.

The Louisiana Lottery shall have no responsibility or liability for any actual or claimed harm that may arise due to promotional materials or prizes. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Facebook, Twitter and the Louisiana Lottery Corporation and its promotional partners.

The Louisiana Lottery is not responsible or liable for any error, omission or any technical problem related to its promotions, including but not limited to entries and submissions, website problems, applications problems, Internet problems or problems with a participant's computer. If for some reason a promotion is not capable of running as originally planned, the Lottery has the right to modify, suspend or cancel all or any portion of the promotion's rules.
