Natchez Woman Claims $50,000 Raffle Prize
Sanquanett Allen of Natchez, Miss., was shocked when the $1,000,000 RAFFLE ticket she had purchased matched one of the $50,000 winning raffle numbers drawn on April 15.
Allen, age 51, shared that she plans to use her winnings to remodel her home and purchase a truck. She purchased her winning ticket at Papa T's on Carter Street in Vidalia. This retailer received a $500 bonus for selling Allen her winning ticket.
$1,000,000 RAFFLE offered players the best odds of any Louisiana Lottery game to win $1 million with only 300,000 tickets available for sale. Tickets sold out on April 14. As with all Lottery draw-style games, prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing, which is Oct. 12, 2010, for $1,000,000 RAFFLE prizes. Original tickets are needed to claim any prize.
