Cash Quest Ticket Remains Unlcaimed
As of Oct. 1, no one has stepped forward to claim a $50,000 Cash Quest jackpot prize from the May 9 drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Qwik Chek on Clearview Parkway in Metairie and will expire after Nov. 5.
The winning numbers for the May 9 Cash Quest drawing are 28-29-39-40, and the winning ticket matches all four of the numbers in the game's $50,000 prize tier.
The holder of the May 9 Cash Quest winning jackpot ticket has until 5 p.m. on Nov. 5 to claim the prize, which is subject to federal and state withholding taxes. Prizes greater than $600 may be claimed at any of the Lottery's six regional offices located across the state.
"We look forward to the winner coming forward to claim the prize. In the meantime, the winner should treat the ticket as cash," said Lottery President Rose Hudson. "It is also a good idea to sign the back of the ticket for security purposes."
Winners of the Lottery's draw-style games have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. After prizes have passed their redemption deadline, they are deposited into the Lottery's unclaimed prize fund, which is returned to players in the form of increased payouts on scratch-off tickets and player promotions.
The Lottery closed Cash Quest with the last drawing on Sept. 15 and launched a new draw-style game, Easy 5. Easy 5 offers a starting, pari-mutuel cash jackpot of $50,000 that grows until it is won. Drawings for Easy 5 are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. The Lottery encourages responsible play and urges anyone with a gambling problem, or friends of anyone with a gambling problem, to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867.
