Larry Willett checked another item off his bucket list this week when he won the $228,798 Easy 5 jackpot prize from the Jan. 10 Louisiana Lottery drawing.

The 66-year-old winner said he recently moved to St. Francisville and purchased a cabin, which has been a dream of his. Now that he’s won a jackpot prize with the Lottery, he said he can check two items off of his bucket list.

Willett received $160,159 after state and federal tax withholdings. He purchased his winning ticket at Jett’s Food Mart #4 in St. Francisville. The store will receive a one-time selling bonus of $2,288, which is 1 percent of the prize.

Willett said he plans to use the money to do some work on his cabin.

Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. Draw-style game tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
