Zachary Taylor and his wife Lakeisha Taylor were in disbelief when they visited Louisiana Lottery headquarters on Monday to claim the $1,750,000 Lotto jackpot from the Oct. 8 drawing.

“Are you for real?” Lakeisha Taylor asked her husband when he told her the news. “We both checked the numbers several times,” Zachary Taylor added.

The 35-year-old New Orleans resident’s winning Quick Pick ticket matched all six numbers to win the $1,750,000 Lotto jackpot prize. The winning numbers were 09 – 10 – 14 – 19 – 26 – 28.

Zachary Taylor received $1,218,232 after state and federal tax withholdings. The winning ticket was sold at Circle K #2707669 in Metairie. The store received a one-time selling bonus of $17,500 which is 1 percent of the prize.

Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. Draw-style game tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. Anyone who may have a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem should call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
