Covington Man Claims Twelfth Easy 5 Jackpot Prize of 2014

Jeffrey Bolton stepped forward Wednesday to claim the $50,000 Easy 5 jackpot prize from the May 21 drawing.

The 48-year-old Covington resident’s Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers, making him the twelfth player this year to win the draw-style game’s top prize. 

Bolton received $35,000 after state and federal taxes were withheld. He purchased his winning ticket at Market Max of Covington. The store will receive a one-time selling bonus of $500, which is 1 percent of the jackpot prize. 

Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.  Draw-style game tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. Anyone who may have a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem should call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
